    Course Schedule
We have classes every month! Normal class schedule is 3 consecutive weekends, however we will run a class for 7 consecutive days upon special request with a 6-student minimum. Normal class size is to 6 students which gives you more personalized instruction. If at least two people supply their own horses, we will raise the course attendance to an absolute maximum of 8 students.

Sam Wilson on the rings.

Bev Thompson on the rings.

Joey Leach on the rings.

We are very glad to accept SCA and similar re-enactment groups that may exceed 8 students on a custom class basis. We do offer discounts per student for large numbers. Contact us for details.

If you are from out of the area, we have a few Bed & Breakfast establishments in the area that we recommend. We will be glad to send you a list of these upon enrollment to the classes.

Age Requirements
Minimum age is 12 for the Rings, Shield Quintain, and Spear. Students under the age of 17 may also be allowed to participate in contact jousting at the discretion of the instructors. Deciding factors include horsemanship, a safe attitude, and how well the first 3 skills are performed by the student.

     Beginner Course
Students learn basic horsemanship for riding and for jousting. Students will also be learning proper equipment handling techniques. Students will also learn skill at arms: Ring Tilting, Quintain Hitting, Spear Throwing, and Contact Jousting from a galloping horse.
     Advanced Course
More advanced techniques are taught with an introduction to other elements. Learning how to use the Horse Bow is the focus of the advanced class.

István Tóth, Master Horse Bowman and Bow Maker in Hungary, make all the bows that are sold through Seven Meadows Archery in Tacoma, Washington. While we do provide a bow for our students to use, we highly suggest you get your own either during or immediately after the class, as the right bow for you is based on your height.

Additional training includes Sword Play on horseback.

     Deposit
A deposit of $350 reserves a student's place in a specific class, with the balance being due and payable no less than 30 days from the starting date of that class. As the number of spaces in each class are limited and may possibly be more difficult to fill with less time before the commencement of a class, a deposit will not be refundable for any student who cancels less than 60 days prior to the commencement of that class in which they have enrolled.
