KARL ANDERSON....Owner and Director of Ravenswood School of Jousting. Karl spent 10 years as a keynote speaker for ANIMAL PLANET, had 2 appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and has worked with actors Dustin Hoffman, Robert Urich, and Magic Johnson. He holds degrees in Zoology and Journalism, is an active NAUI Diving Instructor for the past 24 years, and is an accomplished author. He is also co-owner of VIKING BLADES & ARMOUR, directs underwater documentaries for Discovery Channel and has 8 years of equestrian experience. He favors the larger draft breeds. "Being 6' 5, I tend to make a standard-sized breed look like a Shetland!" Karls says.
Karl is a large promoter of jousting in the Pacific Northwest and established the school so that more people could experience jousting and stay involved with it once their initial training wascompleted. He also heads the RAVENSWOOD KNIGHTS, who are all graduates of Ravenswood School of Jousting.
MINDY LEACH, a Ravenswood Graduate, has more than 35 years of equestrian experience, including raising Quarter Horses and Morgans, riding Quarter Horse race horses on the Texas bush tracks, show jumping, riding race horses at Longacres, played Polo, driving and pulling, cross country, and horse showing. She has been an English riding Instructor, and has also taught polo, cutting, reining, and cattle work. In addition to teaching for Ravenswood, one of her long-range goals is to master all 15 styles of jousting in the world today.

GREG NORTON, aka Lord Norton --- is an Alaskan Airlines employee at SEATAC on weekdays and a true armored Weekend Warrior. Greg graduated in the June '05 class with Ravenswood. Of the 4 basic skills, Greg is partial to contact jousting. He also prefers the larger Draft breeds.

JERRY GORDON, who hails from Emory, Texas, is one of our INSTRUCTORS AT LARGE. Jerry is an accomplished jouster and is an International Jousting Champion. He assisted in teaching the June class and will be returning to teach more classes at Ravenswood in the future! Students voted Jerry BEST INSTRUCTOR of 2005!

Our NEWEST Instructor, HEATHER VERNON, aka LADY ISABOL de CHATEAU CHEVAL NOIRE on ZEUS, aka WESTCLIFF'S DARK SECRET, an 8 year old 18.1 hand SHIRE.
Heather trained 10 horses for the Olympic Games (The Modern Pentathlon Event) in 1996, where her personal horse came in 2nd with Richard Phelps of England. She has been riding horses in the SCA and jousting for 8 years.
