Skills you will learn and practice in the BASIC JOUSTING COURSE (3 consecutive weekends) include: RING TILTING (capturing rings with a lance as you pass on your steed), SHIELD QUINTAIN HITTING (striking the shield as you pass the quintain, which has a weighted sandbag on the opposite end, SPEAR THROWING (at targets set up on bales of hay or straw) from a galloping horse, and finally----CONTACT JOUSTING, where you strike an opponents shield with your lance as you meet them head-on in the list.

2008 SCHEDULE OF CLASSES.....AT OUT NEW LOCATION: ALAMOGORDO, NEW MEXICO!
Beginning / Basic Course - June, 2008 - Specific dates to be announced. Location will be outside of Cloudcroft Village limits.
COURSE FEE is $750 ----IF USING ONE OF OUR HORSES
COURSE FEE is $650 ----IF USING YOUR HORSE
STUDENT SPECIAL FOR 2008!!! Have a friend sign up for the SAME class you are taking and receive a $100 discount of YOUR course fee!!! You will receive $100 off your course fee for EACH friend or family member that takes the same class.
CLASS SIZE IS A MINIMUM OF SIX (6) STUDENTS and but may be upped to an absolute maximum of EIGHT (8) STUDENTS if at least 2 students provide their own horses.
SPECIAL CUSTOM COURSES!!! We are very glad to accept SCA, AMTGARD, and similar re-enactment groups that may exceed 8 students ON A CUSTOM CLASS BASIS. We do offer discounts PER STUDENT for larger numbers. Contact us for details!
