Welcome
to the Ravenswood School of Jousting.
We are now located in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
We are the founders of AJF,
the American Jousting
Federation!
We began in Lakebay, Washington, in 2005. Many olf our graduates
participated in the jousting events of the Washington Fantasy and
Renaissance Faire.
Contact us We have just moved from Washington to Alamogordo, New
Mexico! We encourage your communication with us if interested in taking
our Jousting Class!
Re-live a sport that is 900 years old! We have classes every month!
Normal class schedule is 3 consecutive weekends, however we will run a
class for 6 consecutive days upon special request with a 4-student
minimum. Class size is limited to 6 students which gives you more
personalized instruction. If you are from out of the area, we have a
few Bed & Breakfast establishments in the area that we
recommend. Upon enrollment we will be glad to send you a list of these.
Cost of the beginning course is $750 per student which includes a horse
and all equipment.
Once limited to those from Noble birth, you can now participate
regardless of your lineage and have a blast from the past!
What lies beyond... in the mists of Avalon?
Advanced training includes Swordplay upon a steed, and introduction to
the Horse Bow, Shooting a bow on horseback!
Established in January of 2005 to meet the growing demand for local
training, Ravenswood School of Jousting was established as a licensed
business in the state of Washington under Ravenswood Equestrian Centre. |
